Persecution Update December 2011: Yemen
December 12th, 2011 by Frontline Missions
Yemen is one of the harshest countries for persecution of Christians. Its Islamist government has declared it illegal for Muslims to convert to Christianity. Estimates are there are only 100 Yemeni believers in this poverty-stricken country of 22 million. In June 2009 Johannes and Sabine, German Christian healthcare workers, were kidnapped along with their 3 children. Two daughters were rescued in May 2010, but no word about the parents or son since. Pray that God will give His sustaining grace to this family and will protect and build His Church in Yemen.
