Saudi Arabia is one of the worst countries for Christian persecution. Two believers from India, Vasantha Vara and Nese Yohan, were arrested in January during a house church prayer meeting. The two Christians were arrested for attending the prayer meeting with other Indian nationals and accused of converting Muslims to Christianity. Although they were not formally charged, both men were beaten and put into a cramped prison cell. Great pressure was applied to force them to convert to Islam. Vara told his pastor back in India by phone, "If I have to die for my God, I will die for him here." Finally in July both men were deported back to India. Pray for believers in Saudi Arabia to stand firm in the grace of Christ even under persecution.
