Persecution Update June 2009: Saudi Arabia

saudi-arabia-labeled-copySaudi Arabia continues to be the second worst country for persecuting Christians. (North Korea is the worst.) Saudi law prohibits public worship of any religion but Islam. Last August Fatima Al-Mutairi, age 26, whose father is one of the religious police, was burned to death by her family for becoming a follower of Christ. Hamoud Al-Amri, age 28, was jailed earlier this year for the third time. His crime was writing about his conversion from Islam to Christianity on his website.  Pray that God will use the testimony of faithful believers in Saudi Arabia who “love not their lives even to death.”
