Senator DeMint visits FMI office: US Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina visited the Frontline office on February 17, 2009. This was the senator’s first visit to the mission office since its dedication. At that time he wrote the following:
Much prayer, generosity, and hard work have come together to turn vision into reality and provide a place of blessing and ministry to many. This is a wonderful milestone for a team that has distinguished itself over the years for its ministry in places of war, persecution, and poverty as well as in seasons of extraordinary opportunity! My life’s verse is Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” It is my prayer that many more will know this freedom found in Christ alone, and that Frontline Missions will continue to take this liberating message of the Gospel to the ends of the earth! Congratulations and may God richly bless you.
Senator DeMint is an outspoken advocate on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide. It was, therefore, an honor to welcome him to our office. He expressed special appreciation for the Dispatches from the Front: Islands on the Edge DVD, which he previewed during his visit.
