Frontline’s mission of “advancing the Gospel in the world’s difficult places” is happening through a multi-national team serving in more than a dozen countries on three continents. Despite the diversity of settings and challenges as we serve in restricted-access countries, Frontline has three driving purposes in fulfilling our Gospel mission:

Telling the Big Story

We affirm and proclaim from the Scripture that Jesus is the only way sinners can be saved. His Cross was the cost to redeem His own, and His resurrection was the guarantee that His Word and work are true, life-giving, and lasting. The Dispatches from the Front film series is one way we are telling this Big Story, and at every opportunity we will continue to describe His victories and remind believers that the Church is not in decline and that Christ’s Kingdom has no borders!

Equipping Gospel Risk-takers

Preparing messengers for cross-cultural Gospel work is the aim of the Frontline Experience (FX) Program. Desire to reach people who are hard to get to is a good starting point, but the FX program is designed to move people from enthusiasm and interest to experience and direction by helping interns grow in their understanding of missions in a restricted-access setting and of how God has gifted them for such work.

Sending Long-term Workers

There are some 2 billion people who have no access to the Gospel. They live in places where there are no Bibles, no churches, no Christians. None. Beyond identifying and equipping Gospel risk-takers, we want to send them long-term to serve among people who have yet to hear the Good News. We believe that churches should be the laboratory and launch pad for cross-cultural ministry, and by drawing on our experience in hostile settings and connecting workers with teams in the field, FMI is serving churches in their sending role.

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that the sixty-six books of the Holy Scriptures are the verbally inspired and inerrant revelation of the one true God; that God created all things very good, but human sin provoked a divine curse on all His creation and earns the just wrath of God against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men; that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man; that He is the eternal Son of God who took on Himself human nature and lived a perfectly sinless life that He might die for the sins of mankind and rise again from the dead; that the shedding of His blood on the cross was the atonement that saves His people from their sins; that everyone who believes in Him receives the new birth by the grace of God and becomes part of His Church; that believers will have eternal life in God’s presence and unbelievers will suffer conscious, eternal punishment in hell; and that the Lord Jesus Christ will come again to rule as the eternal King.
